Customers’ Perception ON E-Payment System in Cuddalore District

Abstract:

Technology plays an important role in banking sector. Banking is one of the sector continuously explores the opportunity of technology to provide better services to the customer. E-payment is an emerging interchange channel for providing banking services. India is the second largest telecom market in the world, which is having high potential for expanding banking services using internet. This paper has examined the factors influencing the perception on e-payment system in banking. The survey is the opinion of 225 customers of new generation private banks located in Cuddalore district. Factor analysis has been used for having insights in the perception on e-payment system in banking. The study found that four predominant factors namely accessibility, adaptability, alertness and security among these factors accessibility is identified as most significant factor on the perception on e-payment system in banking in Cuddalore district.
