Abstract:

The Holy Qur’an is considered the greatest book influencing the whole of humanity. It is where the eyes are defined and the necks are formed, and delving into it is the ultimate honor. It is the word of God revealed in a clear Arabic tongue. From the beginning of its inception in the era of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, until the efforts of scholars culminated in Ibn Mujahid’s book The Seven in Readings by Ibn Mujahid, in which he collected the readings of the seven reciters, the number of their narrations, the aspects of their reading of the words of the Qur’an, and the places where they differed, so that his students, Abu Ali Al-Farisi and Ibn Khalawayh, added another effort to his effort, which is directing The seven readings from the language side and their phonemic, morphological and grammatical levels Through the foregoing, this research aims to shed light on Ibn Khalawayh's approach to directing the seven readings through his book The argument in the seven readings. Under the title: The approach of linguists in directing readings - Ibn Khalawayh as a model.
