Abstract:

The global workforce landscape has witnessed a transformative shift in recent years, with the emergence of remote work becoming a prevalent mode of employment. This study explores the critical dimension of employee satisfaction concerning the work-from-home (WFH) arrangement. With the advent of digital technologies and the necessity brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work has become a vital consideration for both employers and employees. This research aims to provide insights into the factors that influence employee satisfaction when working from home. It investigates the impact of various variables such as job role, company size, duration of remote work, and technological support on employee satisfaction. Data was collected through surveys and interviews from a diverse sample of employees across different industries and regions. The findings of this study reveal that employee satisfaction with WFH is influenced by multiple factors. The study identifies the importance of job roles in determining the level of satisfaction, with some roles being more conducive to remote work than others. Moreover, the study highlights the role of company size in shaping employee perceptions of remote work, as smaller companies tend to offer more flexibility in WFH arrangements. Additionally, the study sheds light on the significance of technological support in enhancing employee satisfaction when working remotely. Adequate technological infrastructure and support were found to be crucial in ensuring a positive remote work experience. The implications of these findings are substantial for both organizations and policymakers. As remote work continues to evolve, understanding the dynamics of employee satisfaction is essential for creating effective WFH policies and practices. By addressing the factors that influence satisfaction, organizations can promote employee well-being, increase productivity, and maintain a competitive edge in the modern labor market. In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights into employee satisfaction with remote work, contributing to the growing body of knowledge on this topic. It underscores the need for organizations to tailor their remote work policies to the unique needs of their employees, ultimately fostering a more satisfied and engaged workforce in the era of remote work.
