Abstract:

Judge is regarded as a noble profession serving as the main pillar of judicial power, manifested in an independent judicial process as conditio sine qua non (an indispensable condition) for the law enforcement in Indonesia as the rule-of-law country. The significant roles of the judges are identified through the legal finding activities carried out by the judges to provide appropriate legal solutions for each case. Judges' legal considerations in deciding a case should involve a philosophical thought so that the judicial decisions consistently reflect justice as mandated in the Law Number 48 of 2009 concerning Judicial Power. Justice, as a concrete manifestation of morality, becomes an essential value expected by the people because the primary purpose of coming to the court is to seek justice.
