Editorial Policy

The International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation is committed to fair, transparent and timely editorial decisions based only on the scholarly merit of each manuscript.

Peer Review

All research manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject. The handling editor makes the decision based on the reviewers' reports. Editors and reviewers declare any conflict of interest and withdraw from manuscripts where one exists.

Timelines

Acknowledgement of submission: within 48 hours.
Preliminary editorial review: within one week.
First review decision: within 4–8 weeks.

Plagiarism and Originality

Every submission is screened with Crossref Similarity Check before review. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity are returned to authors or rejected.

Publication Ethics

The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Suspected misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication and authorship disputes, is handled following COPE guidance.

Authorship and Conflicts of Interest

All listed authors must have contributed significantly to the work and approved the final version. Authors must disclose funding sources and any competing interests.

Corrections and Retractions

Errors found after publication are corrected through a published correction. Articles found to be seriously flawed or unethical are retracted following COPE guidance, with a linked retraction notice.

Open Access and Copyright

Articles are published open access under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Authors retain copyright.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors may appeal an editorial decision or raise a complaint by writing to [email protected]. Appeals are reviewed by an editor not involved in the original decision.
