About the Journal

The International Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (IJPR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research, clinical practice, and policy analysis in the field of psychosocial rehabilitation, mental health, and applied psychology. The journal provides a global platform for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to share innovative practices, empirical findings, and theoretical perspectives that contribute to improving mental health systems and psychosocial well-being.

IJPR aims to encourage collaboration among professionals in psychology, psychiatry, public health, education, social work, and rehabilitation sciences. By integrating research and practice across multiple sectors, the journal seeks to advance psychosocial rehabilitation methodologies, enhance recovery-oriented services, and reduce stigma associated with mental illness worldwide.

Journal History

IJPR was established in 1996 to give international practitioners, scholars, and mental health consumers a forum for work in program development, evaluation research, policy innovation, and therapeutic practice.

Ownership and Continuity

In February 2024, the journal was formally transferred to NN Publication under a documented publishing agreement with its prior rights holder, Hampstead Psychological Associates. NN Publication now holds full editorial and publishing responsibility for IJPR.

Indexing Status

IJPR was covered in Scopus for 2009–2011, 2013–2014, and 2019–2020. Scopus discontinued that coverage in 2020.

Current Status: The journal is not currently indexed in Scopus. Under its current editorial team, IJPR is working toward meeting Scopus's re-evaluation criteria and preparing an application for DOAJ listing.
