In this work, turbidimetric method was applied for the quantitative determination of warfarin in pharmaceutical forms. The turbidimetric method based on the formation of a white product due to the reaction between the warfarin and the reagent phosphotungstic acid (PTA). The linearity of warfarin was obtained in the range of 0.5-5.5 mmol.L-1. The detection limits (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) for the warfarin were found to be (0.4 mmol.L-1) and (0.5 mmol.L-1) respectively. The proposed methods were successfully applied for the quantitative determination of warfarin in commercial pharmaceutical preparations. The relative standard deviations (RSD) of the proposed method was found to be less than 1.2% which indicates a reasonable measurements of warfarin samples.
