Abstract:

This Study aimed to Investigate the Role of Entrepreneurial Characteristics in improving the competitiveness of the private universities in Jordan, where the community of the study was the private universities, the study sample was limited to eight private universities which acts in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This study was based on testing a number of hypotheses which linking the relationship between entrepreneurial characteristics as an independent variable, with the competitive advantage of being the dependent variables and researcher chose number of independent variables, which are believed to be having an impact in the dependent variable because it is difficult to Search All independent variables, which limited to: creativity, innovation, risk-taking. The study found through the use of various statistical methods to the existence of the role of the characteristics of entrepreneurship at the private universities in improving the competitive advantage from the managerial view, where there was the impact of a statistically significant of the characteristics entrepreneurial in improving the ability and competitive advantage, the correlation coefficient reaching (R = 0.81) at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05), and the coefficient of determination (explanatory) reached (R2 = 66%) in the sense that amounted of 66% of the possibility of improving the competitiveness contributes to the role of characteristics of entrepreneurship in the Jordanian private universities in the city of Amman
