Abstract

One of the most acute problems that Ecuador is going through is teenage pregnancy. A situation that is considered as a public health problem. Given this situation, the Ministry of Health has implemented several public health programs as state policies that have had little impact on society. This study seeks to contribute to improving the living conditions of these adolescents and prevention in girls and adolescents. This is a phenomenological study. It worked with the focus group technique and applied the Resilience SV-RES scale of Dr. Saavedra SV-RES. As a result, pregnant teenagers have taken on new responsibilities, raised their self-esteem and are more committed to their future and that of their children. Concluding the study in which the rejection suffered by adolescents, coupled with abandonment and discrimination, decrease their chances of self.
