Abstract

The research is applied to an Indonesian court trial, which used a forensic linguistics approach. This study was aimed at investigating one of the types of processes from transitivity that has forensic symptoms in the Jessica-Mirna Court Trial. This study was conducted by applying the descriptive-qualitative method. The source of data was taken from the conversation in the court trial. The technique for analyzing the data is conversation analysis based on mental processes. The result finding showed that mental processes dominated to represent forensic sympton was 22% from other processes. It indicates that perpetrator used her cognition to express The use of mental process was used based on the context of court trial.
