Abstract:

The study on Anxiety among the employees of retail stores is conducted to know the Anxiety faced during their job and to provide a solutions to overcome the Anxiety. Retail workers have nonstandard work shifts with longer hours of operation. Competition from online retailers has led to reductions in staff, which may require the remaining retail workers to carry additional workloads. Anxiety at times can be taken as a positive word also but maximum times it is taken in a negative sense. The present paper is an attempt to focus on the Anxiety level and how to reduce that Anxiety from the retail sector employees. The main objective is to study the level of Anxiety among the employees that affect their role and make the difference in levels of organizational commitment. The study also analyses to find out whether the employees role is supported with enough resources to perform the commitment and finally the impact of Anxiety over the health, family and work performance of employees. It also observed that maximum of the selected respondents has less Anxiety in their work place, due to owners of retail stores take care their employees as one of them.
