Placebo Effect: A Psychological and Motivational Study Based on the Film Kung Fu Panda

Abstract
Chinese tradition is known for its interlinking potentiality with diverse cultures. Nowadays, the cinematic space is crafted in a skillful manner in order to represent the fine-spun nuances of the society as well as the inner psyche of humans. Kung Fu Panda is one such Hollywood film that captured elements of Chinese tradition. The film showcases psychological and mental implication of placebo effect that throws light in different phases of life. The special tool called Placebo is introduced in the life of the protagonist ‘Po’ resulted in preparing him to become a ‘dragon warrior’ as it was the unattainable dream inside his inner psyche. The aim of this paper is to investigate the importance of placebo effect and its influential power that creates drastic changes in the human lifecycle. The paper also explores the rapid activation of motivation and healing power that mimic the effect of real medical treatments.
