Abstract

How to Live Safely in A Science Fictional Universe, is a modern novel on science fiction by the American writer Charles Yu. Published in 2010, this modern marvel wheels around the kinship between a father and a son whose life and memories are intertwined with time. The fictitious and the dystopic universe of Yu furnishes the background of the plot where the protagonist spends his entire life searching for his father who is lost in time with the help of his time machine. The paper attempts to connect time travel as a part of travel writing by going beyond what is considered as the common perspective about travel as well as the literature connected with it.
