Family Support for Diabetic Child Aged Six to Sixteen Years

Abstract:

Objectives: Assessing the level of family support for child diabetic. Methodology: “A cross-sectional quantitative design” loaded out to accomplish the goals, of the study consisting of (100) child at Diabetic Center and Endocrine disease in Babylon Province, from 1 Sep. 2019 to 31 February 2020. Results: Findings reveals that (38.0%) of patients are some receive FS. Overall assessment in five domains of the FS items was (1.94) according to classification of Likert test, they are within the modest level of support. Conclusion: A modest level of family support provided to their children with diabetes. Recommendations: Health policy makers should focus on families who have children with chronic diseases, specifically diabetes and its complications, which need economic and moral support as well as maintenance to provide what they can offer to their sick children.
