An excellent leader affects followers in a positive way to achieve desired goals. Different styles of leadership can affect effectiveness or efficiency of the organizations. The current literature contains numerous examples, classifications, hypotheses and descriptions of leadership. Therefore, significant efforts have been made to identify and explain different aspects of active leadership, creating considerable organizational and social types and attitudes of leadership. Both scholars and practitioners have formed a perspective that over the years, the evolution of thought has established a perception that leadership is a fluid process of growth, with each new piece of research building on and rarely completely disregarding what was learned before it. Effective leadership style is expected in this globally competitive environment to reduce the rate of attrition. Only successful achievement of organizational goals is achievable from the effective leadership types. Leadership styles improve performance and efficiency of employees. This study reviews and discusses the available literature on leadership styles and influences various components of work quality.
